Do you remember the "constant shirts?
Were consistent down-button neck shirts, often in Paisley, were very popular among young couples who would arrange to take to school the same day. I remember once being in a book review panel in English class, and four of us were using the same olive green shirt Paisley constant. The teacher thought it was funny because the theme of the book we reviewed was the lack of conformity.
That's funny on the stage of the English class. I remember the "constant shirts" but not the kind of Paisley that you mentioned. The shirts that I remember were the solid colors with a logo on them. Also remember when married couples used the same color and type of clothing, even if it rose, to make sure everyone knew they were engaged. * Rolls eyes *.
